Dear Ones,
I had the opportunity to present my TED-style talk (which was a finalist in the TED Idea Search Latin America 2021!) The 7 Galaxies of Intimacy, at the famous SXSW conference in Austin, TX in March 2022.
It was a talkshop, a talk + workshop, an iteration of the intimacy work I’ve been crafting for the past four years.
I was honored by the openhearted participation of these lovely, curious humans.
Who engaged with my intimacy theories & exercises so beautifully, & with such tender inquisitiveness…
That I loved them, in our time together.
As we gear up for the next Panel Picker (the application process for SXSW presentations), and I am hoping to host a panel called Ask the Intimacy Professionals Anything — which you can VOTE FOR HERE), I’m reminiscing fondly on my first SXSW.
Even though I was in the midst of a major depressive episode, the swirling vortex of creativity and innovation that is South By absolutely buoyed my spirits.
My presentation even got this sweet little write-up!
(The Empathy for A**holes workshop looked pretty great, too.)
Thank you, SXSW, for making the magic, and for having me there to co-create it.
Big Love,
Lila
